TIB905Y was fitted with the Hino K13U engine and ZF 4HP 500 automatic transmission. Its HS3KRKA chassis design was meant more for intercity operations, and hence different from the HS3KRKK in terms of length and positioning of the air-con unit; the demonstrator was slightly longer and fitted with Konvekta undercarriage air-conditioning.
TIB905Y was also the first bus to receive a new generation of EDS; the TwinVision LeDot supplied by Transit Media, this model had LED lighting behind each individual flip-dot that would appear clearly illuminated at night. Its original side EDS was later replaced with a larger unit. The demonstrator was confined to Route 941 in its final days, before retiring in 2013.
