SBS2888T was the other of two low-entry single deck demonstrators, dubbed as the "21st Century Bus", brought in by then-Singapore Bus Services in 1999. It featured a Scania DSC9.12 Euro II 260hp engine (8,974cc) with ZF4HP590N gearbox and was fitted with Mobitec flip-dot EDS. Air-conditioning was supplied by Sutrak. Many of its innovative features, such as ABS, outward swinging doors, and electronically controlled suspension, were to eventually become standard with the much later K230UB fleet. Similar to the B10BLE demonstrator, this bus also received the CR221L bodywork from Volgren of Australia.

While no further units were purchased, the L94UB represented the transition between the venerable N113CRB and the modern K230UB models. The bus last operated on Express 518, which ply between Pasir Ris, Bedok and Orchard/Suntec. It then became training bus, where it lived out the rest of its remaining lifespan until it expired in April 2016.
