Home / SBS Transit, Singapore (before GCM/BCM) / Volvo B10M (Mark IV, WA) "Strider" / SBS1975G 11

For a couple of years, the easiest way to tell a Strider from a DM3500 was to simply look at the colour of the seats from the outside. If it were blue it was definitely a Strider; if it were red it was a DM3500.

However, this Strider for a while received a set of red seat covers, turning it red and the priority seats yellow. It was subsequently to become to standard seat cover design for the upcoming Scania K230UB single-deckers. If SBS73R is to the CDGE B9TL, then SBS1975G is to the KUBs. This red seat covers were replaced with the standard yellow ones in September 2012.

On another note, seat covers are no longer a reliable method of telling a Strider and DM3500 apart even without SBS1975G, as many buses have their seat covers replaced to the standard yellow used by the CDGE-bodied Volvo B9TLs.
