The Scania N113CRB represented a new generation of European air-conditioned buses for then Singapore Bus Services, with 200 units purchased and bodied in Walter Alexander PS bodywork. The first N113CRB entered service in 1989 and the fleet was fully retired by 2009.
In the days where A/C services were considered a luxury, only 50 out of 200 had them. All units were powered by the 257hp DSC11-04 engine (11,021cc), and originally fitted with Scania GAV781R fully automatic transmission which was later replaced with the 3-speed Voith DIWA automatic. Selected NAC units were also chosen for conversion to air-con in mid-life.
