Originally a Hydrogen Fuel Cell, this unit was used for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games NTU shuttles operated by SBS Transit. The bus was registered as YOG3419 and then RU6066L, and its ownership was under the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Despite an earlier press release that the bus would undergo a further trial with SBS Transit after the YOG, the bus never entered public revenue service.
In December 2011, it was reported that the bus was to be converted to full electric cell, as it was found that hydrogen fuel operation was not economically viable. By February 2015 however the dilapidated bus was reportedly towed away, presumably for disposal.
While the bus was promoted as "Singapore's first truly Green bus", it is not the first zero emissions public bus model. That title goes to PH1530Z - a Nissan Civilian mini-bus converted by Singapore Polytechnic into an electric bus and operated by Trans-Island Bus Services (TIBS).
