The first of Batch Three buses entered service in November 2011. These buses were powered by the Volvo D9B310 EC06B engine (9,364cc) which is Euro V compliant with the use of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, requiring the use of Adblue. The subsequent 300 units (which Batch Three forms the bulk of this order) were fitted with 4-speed Voith D864.5 automatic transmission.
Air-conditioning was supplied by Eberspächer Sütrak, and its R488 model was a custom product designed to meet SBS Transit's requirements. The last 270 units, which make up the Batch Three Wrights and registered SBS3000G to SBS3238M, and a single unit SBS3269Z. They feature a new full low-floor configuration on the lower deck and received its EDS from LECIP (except SBS3189X which received Hanover Displays EDS).
