Home / SG Bus, Government Contracting Model (GCM/BCM), Singapore / Tower Transit Singapore (Transit Systems)
The third public bus operator in Singapore, its namesake based on its relatively new London operations established in 2013. It became the operator for the Bulim bus package, covering Jurong East, Bukit Batok and Clementi area from May 2016.
Its parent company is better known in Australia as Transit Systems, which operates bus contracts in several parts of Australia won through competitive tendering: Swan Transit (Perth, WA), Torrens Transit (Adelaide, SA), Transit Systems Sydney (Sydney, NSW), Darwinbus (Darwin, NT).
The group has enjoyed a rapid expansion in recent years, both domestically and internationally. Tower Transit easily won the first GCM/BCM contract with its Transperth 'home ground' advantage despite lower bids from incumbent local operators; As the GCM/BCM model is based on the Transperth model in Perth, Western Australia, the birthplace of parent company Transit Systems, it effectively has over 20 years of experience bidding on GCM/BCM-type contracts.
