Since 2011, ACTION Buses has been using an operational control and passenger information system supplied by Trapeze to enhance passenger experience. All ACTION buses are fitted with on-board passenger information displays and driver consoles. To the public, the Real-Time Passenger Information System (RTPIS) is marketed as NXTBUS. As part of its Government Contracting Model (GCM) Land Transport Authority of Singapore has awarded a similar contract to Trapeze and ST Engineering in April 2014, which includes the installation of a new Intermodal Transport Control System (ITCS) that will replace existing systems.
With the introduction of Light Rail in 2019, Canberra's bus network was redesigned from scratch and its operating name now Transport Canberra. There are three liveries in ACTION's fleet: Orange for older non-accessible and non air-conditioned buses, green for accessible and air-conditioned buses up to 2017, and blue for Euro VI buses introduced since 2017.
