Scania N113CRB

斯堪尼亞/世冠/紳佳N113CRB (亚历山大) [Config : B51]
The Scania N113CRB represented a new generation of European air-conditioned buses for then Singapore Bus Services, with 200 units purchased and bodied in Walter Alexander PS bodywork. The first N113CRB entered service in 1989 and the fleet was fully retired by 2009.

In the days where A/C services were considered a luxury, only 50 out of 200 had them. All units were powered by the DSC1104 engine (11,021cc), and originally fitted with Scania GV680 (OAC)/GAV781 (NAC) fully automatic transmission which was later replaced with the 3-speed Voith DIWA 384.3 automatic. Selected units were also chosen for conversion to air-con in mid-life.

The OAC N113CRB originally came with seat covers consisting of white leather and four stripes of blue fabric at the centre and grey air-con ducts. They were later refitted with magenta red seat covers and air-con ducts.

There are two Fuji A/C panels in the center of the one lighting. Notice that one distinctive feature of the N113CRB buses is the side facing bench seats at the second-last row of the bus covering over the rear wheel arch.

The N113CRB features side seating at the front and rear of its buses, something that was not shared by the MBO405 fleet. The OAC fleet has roof covers that can be opened for emergency ventilation.

The elevated step between the seats and aisle made creation of a dedicated standing area on the N113CRB unsuitable. All variations of the N113CRB could seat 51 passengers, with a total capacity of 86.

This is the typical non-air conditioned configuration of SBS buses in its generation, where fan ducts and dark-blue seat covers are standard. The MBO405 (before refurbishment) and B10M Mk II OACs also bear similar interior, except for the side seats.

The CAC interior was refurbished to match the OAC's standards, with similar red seat covers. The most distinctive difference between the two would be the colour of the air-con ducts.
