While Scania K-series single decker buses are plenty in SBS Transit, the company operates only a single double deck demonstrator, SBS7888K. The K310UD demonstrator was delivered to the operator in March 2010 and was the first bodywork developed by Gemilang for a double deck city bus.

The unit was powered by the Scania DC9 Euro IV engine (8,867cc), and fitted with 6-speed ZF 6HP 602CN Ecomat automatic transmission. Its Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technology does away the need for additives in exhaust treatment. The EDS unit was from Hanover Displays, air-conditioning from Carrier-Sutrak and its interior design similar to its single deck counterparts.
