Jurong East Modification Project

An upgrading project of Jurong East MRT Station that involves the construction of a new track and platform to boost the capacity of the North-South Line, two temporary closures were made in two weekends September 2010 in order to give the contractors sufficient time to connect the new tracks to the existing ones.

Approximately 80 bendy buses were deployed as a free shuttle service between the affected sections, though they were actually underutilized.
